Rise Dance Company & Precision Dance Terms & Conditions
By agreeing to the Precision & Rise Dance Company (“Rise”) online enrolment form you have completed, you are deemed to have agreed and accepted these terms and conditions of enrolment (“Terms”):
Term fees are fixed amounts, and are charged out the same every term, based on an 8-week term – this means that any classes over and above 8 are complimentary. As our costs are fixed, fees remain payable in cases of absence. There are no reductions for sickness, injury, or holidays. If there are less than 8 classes offered, these are balanced out over the year due to other terms offering more than 8 classes.
A term commenced must be paid in full. Fees are non-refundable.
Sometimes free trial classes are offered, these are to be paid for if enrolling in classes, but are not required to be paid for if the choice is not to enrol.
If changing class (adding or deleting a class) you must contact Precision Dance or Rise Dance Company by email, it is not your teacher's responsibility to pass this information on.
Throughout the year, your enrolment will roll-over to the following term. Cancellation of classes - If not continuing a class in the following term, it is your responsibility to inform the office before commencement of the term, or a ½ term fee will be charged.
Precision Dance & Rise Dance Company reserves the right to change fees or timetable without prior notice. However, we will endeavor to inform parents and carers of any changes as soon as possible.
Intellectual property, exercises, combinations, and routines taught in class remain the property of Precision Dance & Rise Dance Company. They cannot be taught or performed outside the studio without permission.
No photos or videos may be taken in class, or rehearsal without prior consent.
Lost property – Precision Dance & Rise Dance Company does not accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal property. Please make sure all uniform items are named. Any items found will be placed in lost property. Ask your teacher if you are unsure where to find these.
Physical contact may be necessary when helping to demonstrate or correct a student. To realign students' bodies and put them into the correct positions to improve their technique.
We do not accept liability for personal injury or illness to any child attending class.
Occasionally photographs or videos may be taken by Precision Dance & Rise Dance Company during class, exams, or performances, by agreeing to these terms and conditions, you give consent for these photos to be used on the website, Facebook/Instagram, or for advertising purposes. At no point will these photos be used in a compromising situation.
It is your responsibility to ensure that we have the correct details for you and your child and to keep us updated of any changes to contact details or health issues.
We do not accept responsibility for any loss or expense due to circumstances beyond our control ie Transport, fire, weather conditions, power outages, or other such situations.
In the case of Covid 19 level changes, or any other pandemic-related disruption, it is at the discretion of Precision Dance Ltd & Rise Dance Company to decide how to proceed with offering classes. If levels do not allow physical classes, online classes will be offered. When classes are able to resume, all relevant health and safety regulations will be adhered to by staff and management. If a student makes a decision to not participate, there will be no refund or transfer of classes offered.
In the event that we consider you to be in breach of these terms & conditions or that your child is disruptive to other students or staff, teachers or venue staff, we reserve the right to exclude your child from any activity with Precision Dance & Rise Dance Company
Precision Dance & Rise Dance Company reserves the right to amend or alter these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
Fee Policy
Fees are payable in advance. Fees must be paid the week before each term, or a late fee may be added.
If you need to pay in instalments you must email Hayley@risedance.nz or studio@precisiondance.co.nz to arrange a payment plan prior to the term starting.
Instalment payments will include a 6% fee on the total amount owing on your invoice
Credit Card payments include a 3.45% of the transaction value and a transaction fee of $0.99 per transaction
If your card declines you will be charged $3.45
Fees are inclusive of GST
Outstanding fees - any fees outstanding at the end of the dance school year, will be forwarded to a collection agency, unless prior arrangement has been made with the office.
If Rise or Precision cancels a class once an Enrolment Term has begun, Rise/Precision will refund the fees received into your Rise/Precision Account (not bank account) less a proportionate cost for the classes that have taken place during the Enrolment Term prior to cancellation.
If changing class/enrolment (adding or deleting a class) you must contact Rise by email (admin@risedance.nz) or Precision by email (studio@precisiondance.co.nz) it is not your teacher's responsibility to pass this information on.
Rise/Precision reserves the right to change fees or timetable without prior notice. However, we will endeavor to inform parents and carers of any changes as soon as possible.
Cancellation of classes - If not continuing a class in the following term, it is your responsibility to inform the office before commencement of the term, or a ½ term fee will be charged as your enrolment will roll-over throughout the year to ensure current students get spots in the class.
If you have not received an invoice or your invoice is incorrect, it is your responsibility to let the office know within the first two weeks of term.
Uniform Policy
Uniform is compulsory for all classes except our Adult classes.
All uniform items are available on our website www.risedance.nz
Correct uniform must be worn for each genre - i.e. students are not allowed to wear jazz uniform to Ballet
Crews and Troupes
Crews and Troupes are by audition or invite only.
Crew and Troupe term fees are not included in the unlimited payment scheme.
Crews and Troupes are often required for extra weekend/holiday rehearsals or events.
Exam Policy
Correct Uniform must be worn for the exam.
If Students choose to no longer sit the exam and their exam fee has been paid. No refund will be allocated.
Exam entries will be charged via the Rise Dance/Precision Dance Parents Portal onto the chosen payment option credit card or bank account.
Show Policy
Attendance at show rehearsals is compulsory if performing in the show.
During the show period, studio rehearsals and theatre week, some classes will not operate and communication will be sent out to dancers.
A show costume hire fee will be charged via the Rise Dance/Precision Dance Parents Portal onto the chosen payment option.
You will be charged a costume fee for each dance you are performing in.
Costumes are on HIRE you must return these at the end of the last performance evening.
Costumes are NOT to go home at all.
In the event that we consider you to be in breach of these terms & conditions or that your child is disruptive to other students or staff, teachers or venue staff, we reserve the right to exclude your child from any activity with Rise & Precision dance.
Rise & Precision Dance reserves the right to amend or alter these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
I hereby waive and release Rise Dance Company & Precision Dance, their organisers, contractors, employees and sponsors, from all claims of damage arising from participation in classes and performances, including and without limitation to personal injury, illness and death.
